This past Sunday July 25th we lost a member of the racing family Mrs. Linda Galford  (Doug Farace's mother), due to a massive stroke. There will be Service Sunday August 8th 1 PM at Christ The King Reformed Episcopal Church in Pasadena, Md. followed by a celebration of her life at her home at 630 Dover Rd. Pasadena Md. 21122. 
Please join the family in remembrance.

This Saturday July 31,2010 is our NHRA King of the Track Gates will open at  4 PM 
We will have 2 sessions each class and race. Hopefully the weather will not be as hot.

ATTENTION: THE MAKE UP RACE FOR THE NATIONAL DRAGSTER CHALLENGE WILL 
BE SATURDAY AUGUST  7TH ALONG WITH OUR BIG BUCKS FOR THAT DAY, COME OUT AND TAKE A SHOT AT THE WALLY'S AND ALL THAT BIG $$$$$$$$$$$ !!!

Recently several racers have raised concerns that racers at several tracks may be using electronic equipment in a unauthorized manner. Based on the concerns raised, the following rule is being put in effect at Capitol Raceway effective immediately.   Electrical/Electronic Controls 1.    Delay boxes can only be connected to and operate the transmission brake, throttle stop, shifter and Pro Stage controller. The throttle stop can only be used when bracket racing if the car is dialed to run the specific index. In example, 8.90, 9.90. The timers in delay boxes cannot be connected in a manner where any function of the ignition box is controlled by timers and no equipment can be connected to timers that provide down track vehicle locator information to the driver or to controls on the car. This includes using timers to turn any lights on or off at any point during a run or controlling a tachometer reading. In addition, traction control devices are not approved for use in bracket racing at Capitol Raceway.

Capitol Raceway after much thought has decided to change the racer rain out rules.

1. If one (1) complete round of racing is completed in all classes
the racers still in will split the purser (s) per their class. Points earned will be given.

2. Once Eliminations have started spectators do not get a refund.

This will be throughout the entire season as of last Saturday

they will not be on the paper schedule

 

SPECIAL NOTE: The 2010 Summit ET Bracket Finals to be held at US13 Dragway in Del-Mar De. will be on Wed. Sept. 15, Parking
Sept. 16, 17, 18 racing and the 19th rain date
NO Fireworks at the bracket finals at all.
Drivers will be responsible for their crew members , so do not let them get out of control either.
One hour after the race day is completed , pit vehicles must be parked and put away.
Alternates for other tracks no longer earn points for those teams, must pay there own entry fee, can park with home track. Capitol with still offer a team jacket to our alternates.
